Security and data practices

What we collect

The platform collects operational HVAC telemetry from your energy management system or smart thermostats. That means equipment readings, not business or personal data.

Equipment readings	Space and supply temperatures, compressor staging and runtime, fan state, setpoints, and outdoor air conditions, collected about once per minute per unit.
Site information	Location name, address, and time zone, used to organize your dashboard, apply the right weather data, and calculate energy costs with your utility rate.
Account information	Names and email addresses of the people you authorize to use the dashboard, used for login and alert delivery.

What we never collect

No payment card data	The platform does not store or process credit card numbers. Billing runs through a dedicated invoicing provider.
No customer or employee data	Nothing about your customers, staff, sales, or point of sale systems ever touches the platform.
No audio or video	There are no cameras, microphones, or occupancy tracking of individuals. Telemetry describes equipment behavior only.

How the platform protects your data

Read only by design

Elite Energy Management reads data from your systems. It does not send commands, change setpoints, or control equipment. A compromise of a monitoring account cannot touch your stores' comfort or operations.

Encryption

Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest in our managed database infrastructure. Off-site backups are additionally encrypted before they leave our systems.

Access controls

Dashboard access requires authentication, and each customer's view is scoped to their own locations. Internal access follows least privilege: production credentials are held only where the platform needs them, never embedded in client-side code.

Backups and resilience

The platform runs automated daily backups, encrypted and replicated to two independent storage providers, so your history survives the failure of any single system or vendor.

Vendor infrastructure

The platform runs on established managed infrastructure providers for database, hosting, and delivery, inheriting their physical security, network protections, and compliance programs rather than operating bespoke server rooms.

Data ownership and retention

Your telemetry is used to monitor your equipment and to improve the detection models that protect your fleet. Peer benchmarking comparisons are fully anonymized. If you leave, your account data is removed from the live platform on request.

If you believe you have found a vulnerability in the platform or this website, contact us at info@eliteenergymanagement.com. Reports are read by the engineering team, not a ticket queue, and we will respond promptly.
